In Response...

Some anonymous commenter made a cruel and hurtful aside concerning my recent church sign. To respond, but not give credence(or Buffalo Springfield) to their mean spirited remark, I will explain the origins of the sign shown in the last post.

The sign was actually referring to the Puritans, who had left England due to religious persecution and fled to Holland in the late 1600's. But while they were there they found their children were growing up with a distinctly Dutch culture. It was because of this(and not some ancestor of Jake Ggyylleennhhaall) that they left for America and established the Plymouth Settlement. This settlement later became known as Evergreen: West Minneapolis. And even later, Evergreen: Minneapolis. And soon, Evergreen: Suarez.

That was me commenting you weirdo. I seriously hope you weren't offended by that.

We need to declare a statute of limitations on Suarez. I say he has until 12:01AM October 1, 2005 to make a move. After that, it's anybody's game.

Of course I knew it was you, I'm quoting you on the sign.

According to Ben, weird people from church read our blogs and complain to Bill about them, so I didn't want genuine wit to suffer due to naming names.

And no, I think Suarez gets dibs in place until they rename the location, or buy a building.

If weird people from church read our blogs and complain to Bill about them, it'll be interesting to see what happens after I finish formulating my thoughts on the direction and leadership of our church and post them...
