Emerging from where...


So as I'm reading D.A. Carson's book(see "currently digesting" on right side of blog), I put together a thought that had been floating around unfinished in my brain. If my generation and the one after it are the "emerging, post-modern, millenial" generation, why is that generation being defined by mostly baby boomers, and a couple on-the-edge-of GenX?

I read through that book when Michael was gone (hope you don't mind dude!). Carson really does give a fair assessment of the Emerging church.

You bring up a good point about the pomos. Paggit is in his 40's. Tony Jones is at least in his late 30's, and McLaren—criminy, he voted for LBJ didn't he?

I guess they would argue (or "converse") that postmodernism isn't about the exact age of a person so much as a new mindset that is affecting us all.
